Damn it. Well, there isn’t an M3 touring or an (American) AMG C63 wagon, so we’ll have to make do with the sedan and probably the coupe.

You misspelled “Sergio”

I thought it was supposed to be called the Quattroformaggi?
(silly motor trend H2H joke).

Well it probably wouldn’t sell either. And crossovers make bank so...

Alfa Giulia Wagon - Dead. Reason: Stelvio.
‘eyyy, they don’t call Stelvio “Killing Machine” for nothin’. Just sayin’.
Oh, you were talking about a car ...

Fuck you Sergio. Like how the fuck do you want to conquer sales from the big German three without offering what they sell the most of in Europe: diesel station wagons.

Got-dang crossovers are ruining the car world.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure I saw a Giulia QF with 3 pedals at the Chicago Auto Show last year, so at this point, I’m not believing anything Alfa says until it actually shows up on dealer lots.

From the article.
“but despite our protestations”...
Protests. Just use the word protests, for goodness sake.
Anyway back to the stuff, here’s autoblog’s headline about the Stelvio:

How are Euro wagon sales doing though? I seem to encounter a lot more X1/3/5s than 3/5 Tourings.

This will result in more profit for parent corporation.

That may be true but who as a private person still buys a car brand new from the dealership? I may be extremely wrong but I guess the majority of new car sales are company cars. At least from the three guys I know who are eligible for one pick a diesel wagon over crossovers. (That’s probably changing though as those are very popular)

They probably see that they can earn more by making the Stelvio properly good. The 156/159 wagons never sold that well.

I thought the Stelvio was finished? Are they working on a facelift already? Could FCA be actually trying to stay on top of their game?

All the alfas are great. Look Great. Drive great. There is only one flaw. It’s got the wrong hunk of metal right in the middle of it which makes it a deal breaker for me.... Why can’t they put one of these in there???
